Kaylee's Story

At the center of Inspired Acres is Kaylee Jo, whose journey has touched the lives of everyone involved in our mission. Born with Down Syndrome, Kaylee’s life presented challenges that most families can hardly imagine. Yet, through her unwavering spirit, faith, and connection to horses, she inspired the creation of this extraordinary place. 

 Kaylee began riding horses at the age of 3, even before she learned to walk, finding strength and connection in the saddle that became a crucial part of her journey. Kaylee’s love for horses, became more than just a passion—it became a form of therapy. Her bond with the horses helped her grow stronger, both emotionally and physically, teaching her lessons of resilience, patience, and hope. Watching this transformation, her family knew that the healing power Kaylee experienced should be shared with others. Thus, Inspired Acres was born.

Inspired Acres was founded to extend the same therapeutic, life-changing experiences to others—whether through adaptive riding, equine-assisted learning, or simply spending time on the farm. Kaylee’s journey continues to be the heart of everything we do, reminding us daily of the profound impact horses and nature can have on physical and emotional well-being.
