Transformative Therapeutic Recreation

At Inspired Acres, we believe in the power of inclusive, adaptive recreation to transform lives. Our adaptive recreation programs are designed to provide meaningful, accessible experiences for individuals of any ability level, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the therapeutic and empowering benefits of our offerings.

We offer 6-8 week sessions for our core programs. Additionally, we host one-off events and special programs throughout the year, ensuring there's always something exciting happening at our property.

Please note that all Inspired Acres programs are designed for ages 12 and above.

Winter Session - January 2025

Crafty Creations

Inclusive Dance Workshops

Dec 12, Jan 9, Feb 13

Join us for an hour of movement, music, and fun at our Monthly Inclusive Dance Program, designed for individuals of all abilities to express themselves and connect through the joy of dance. 🌟 The program runs from 11:00am-12pm, followed by a BYO lunch social from 12-12:30pm where participants can relax, mingle, and build connections in a welcoming environment.

This program is limited to 10 participants.

Crafty Creations

Wednesdays 2025

from 2:00pm-3:30pm

This weekly drop-in program gives participants an introductory experience to a wide range of media including collages, vision boards, painting, clay sculptures, pottery, jewelry making, terrariums, card making, and holiday themed crafts! Join us and let your creativity flow! Guest artists and facilitators will join us throughout the session!

This program is limited to 8 participants- advanced registration required. Ages 12+

Special Olympics Cornhole Team

10 Week Program - 2025

Practices Fridays from 2:00pm-3:0pm

Competition dates: (Area) Feb 15th, (State) Mar 28-29

Come learn to play America's #1 backyard game! A minimum of 8 practices must be attended to participate in the competition games. (We offer further optional instruction for $10 a lesson before the group practices. Please contact us for more information.)

Introductory Workshop

Caregivers and participants are invited to join us for this introductory cooking workshop. Come meet Chef Felix and learn about this new 8-week class offering coming Spring 2025! This introductory class will include a Q&A addressing caregiver safety concerns in the kitchen, participant goals, course overview, adaptive kitchen equipment discussion, and a hands-on cooking activity. No experience required!

This class is open to all skill levels and abilities.

Learn to Fish!

FRIDAYS 2:30-4:00 PM $85 pp.

Come join us as we learn to fish in this NEW 8-week curriculum driven fishing program! Spend time with our knowledgeable fisherman, Mr. Steven, and enjoy time on the dock while you are introduced to the fun and relaxing pastime of fishing. Learn about fish, water safety, bait, casting and more!

*All participants will be required to wear a USCG approved life vest while on the dock.

This program is limited to 6 participants.
